Diesel Driven Self-Priming Flood Pump

Product Introduction

This Series is a heavy-duty, trailer-mounted self-priming trash pump, powered by a reliable diesel engine. It is purpose-built for rapid, high-volume dewatering in the most challenging conditions. This pump’s standout features are its ability to prime itself automatically from a dry start and its capability to handle dirty water containing significant solids like sand, leaves, and debris without clogging. As a fully independent, mobile unit, the pump is the essential tool for emergency flood response, construction site dewatering, and large-scale agricultural water transfer.

Design Philosophy & Construction

The pump is engineered as a complete, field-ready package, combining a specialized, highly practical pump design with a powerful, mobile drive system.

The Pump End: ZW Self-Priming & Non-Clog Design

  • Rapid Self-Priming Action: The pump casing is specially designed with an oversized chamber that holds a reserve of water. When the pump starts, the impeller churns this water to create a vacuum in the suction line, purging the air and drawing water up from a lower level without any need for manual priming. This allows for extremely fast setup and operation in emergency situations.
  • Non-Clog, Solids-Handling Impeller: Unlike standard water pumps, the pump uses a semi-open “trash” impeller. This design has wider vanes and larger internal clearances, allowing it to easily pass solids, pebbles, and fibrous debris that would clog a conventional pump.
  • Quick-Access Service Cover: A key feature for field use is a large quick-release cover plate on the front of the pump. If an exceptionally large object does cause a blockage, an operator can quickly open the cover, clear the obstruction, and have the pump back in service in minutes, without disconnecting any hoses.

The Drive End: Mobile Diesel Assembly

  • Powerful Diesel Engine: The pump is coupled to a high-performance industrial diesel engine, selected for its power, torque, and fuel efficiency during long, continuous run times.
  • Trailer-Mounted for Mobility: The entire assembly—pump, engine, fuel tank, and controls—is mounted on a robust, road-worthy two-wheeled trailer. This allows the pump to be towed by a standard truck and rapidly deployed to any emergency site or remote job location.
  • Complete Turnkey Unit: The pump is delivered as a complete package, including a control panel, large-capacity fuel tank for extended operation, battery, and often suction/discharge hoses with a suction strainer.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Rapid Self-Priming: Saves critical time and labor by automatically priming and lifting water from depths of several meters without manual intervention.
  • Unmatched Solids Handling: The non-clog design reliably pumps dirty, trash-laden water, making it perfect for floodwater and unprocessed water sources.
  • Maximum Portability: The integrated trailer design ensures the unit can be transported quickly and positioned easily even on rough terrain.
  • Total Power Independence: The diesel engine provides powerful pumping capability anywhere, which is essential during floods and in remote areas where electricity is unavailable.
  • Easy Field Maintenance: The front clean-out port allows for immediate resolution of clogs on-site, maximizing uptime when it matters most.

Common Applications

The pump is the go-to solution for any application that requires moving large volumes of dirty water, fast.

  • Emergency Flood Response: The primary tool for government agencies and contractors for draining flooded streets, underpasses, commercial basements, and residential areas.
  • Construction Site Dewatering: The workhorse for pumping out rainwater and groundwater from building foundations, trenches, and general site excavations.
  • Municipal & Utilities: Essential for sewer bypass operations, draining manholes, and emergency water transfer during main breaks.
  • Agriculture: Large-scale irrigation from ponds or ditches, draining waterlogged fields, and transferring liquid manure.
  • Mining & Quarries: General dewatering of open pits, sumps, and processing areas.
